In this era of strong competition the importance of costing of a product need not be over – emphasized. Accurate Costing helps to price the products competitively. Competitive pricing helps in promoting sales and contesting international competition.
The price for export should be as realistic as possible as the exporter has to compete with the manufacturers from all over the world.
Export price includes purchase price plus additional expenses like Insurance charges, freight charges, commission etc.
MSMEs exporting units located in the state have to incur additional transportation cost due to large distances from seaports, which make their products uncompetitive in comparison to the exporting units, located in the coastal area. In order to enhance competitiveness of exporting units, it is necessary to diminish the transportation cost.
In order to withstand international competition, it is necessary to reduce the cost to the minimum extent. Hence, any opportunity, which tends to save a few bucks on exports, must not be overlooked.
We at LMCPL helps you to avail various export benefits, which certainly would achieve competitive edge over your competitors. So if:
1. Your Unit is MSME
2. Have obtained GSTIN
3. The unit should have obtained registration-cum- membership certificate from Export Promotion Council.
4. There is direct export of the goods manufactured by the exporting unit.
Under Merchandise Export from India Scheme (MEIS) you can claim freight assistance to the extent 1% of of Free on Board (FOB) value or actual freight excluding government fee and taxes on transportation of goods from place of manufacture to the sea port & airport from where they are shipped, whichever is less and maximum up to Rs. 20 lakh per annum will be provided for export of goods, manufactured by the exporting MSME set-up anywhere in the State.
However the MEIS was subsequently replaced by Remission of Duties and Taxes on Export Goods (RoDTEP) by the Government of India recently for which the rate of assistance is yet to be notified.
It is pertinent to note that the share of exports of products related to India’s micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) during the year 2020-21 stood at 45 % as per the information from Directorate General of Commercial Intelligence and Statistics.
Therefore, it can be concluded that there is substantial growth in export of products of MSMEs, which has been possible due to various initiatives taken by the Government and to make best of initiatives launched by the Government it is necessary to seek the assistance of experts and experts like us at Lawmax Management Consultants Private Limited has experience of more than 10 years in aiding our clients to improve turnover and profits.
